DTAA Registered
Aiko Ushizuka is a skilled dance movement therapist who has dedicated her career to helping clients improve their well-being through creative and holistic therapeutic techniques. With her extensive qualifications in Advanced Clinical Somatics Dance Movement Therapy, Integrated Diploma of Contemporary Pilates, and yoga instruction, as well as her Individual Support Certificate III in disability support, she has successfully enhanced the lives of numerous people in need including NDIS participants by assisting them in developing healthier emotional, cognitive and physical patterns.
Aiko's individualised approach to therapy is what sets her apart from others in the field. She recognises the importance of client-centered care and tailors her sessions to suit the particular needs and preferences of each person in her care. Be it through individual and group therapy, her warmth and care permeates every encounter with clients. Her therapeutic sessions, which are held in a nurturing environment, focus on revealing hidden emotions and liberating energy inaccessible to verbal language, all through nonverbal communication.
Aiko's passion for dance is evident in every aspect of her work. Applying dance movement as a language, she helps clients discover and express their internal anxieties, blockages, and pain in nonverbal, creative ways that speak a client's personal language. Her work transcends basic therapy, revealing a deeper level of emotional and spiritual harmony.
